Masthead music ideas for my music magazine

I think the magazine masthead i will use for my final product will be $nazz or WAVE the reason why i would use this is because it shows a unique effect to a music magazine and it has bold alert colours like current music magazines out there.

Mastheads related to my Music magazine genre

My music magazine genre will be R&B and hip- hop music the current music magazines that are out there that are related to R&B are FADER,XXL and VIBE.
FADER
The masthead looks professional and they keep the same font on all of them, although they change the colour of the background of the 'F' this is so that it stands out from the picture in the background.Fader change there masthead colours to match the main image. 'Fader' is related to sound so it shows that it is related to music

XXL

XXL is a hip hop magazine, their identity is the bold masthead which has a red background what shows danger and strength and love this will give the reader the impression that this magazine will have an loveable impact on the magazine so they will buy it more, with large, bold writing that relates to the magazine name title in it with the name of the magazine, the masthead is usually in the top corner so if the main image does cover it regular customers will be still be able to know what magazine it is.The masthead is simple and does not take up much of the cover space

VIBE

Vibe is a R&B magazine, They change there masthead colours to match the main image like Fader. Like fader Vibe does not change the font type as Vibe are consistent for using bold text. From the title you get an idea of what the content of the magazine will be as vibe is related to music and also a common word used.

Generic conventions

The generic conventions, from these three mastheads the similarities are that each masthead contain bold text and then have bright colours also each main image take over the masthead the reason for this is because they are all mainstream names and it doesn't matter if they can't see the whole masthead title it is noticeable.

Evaluation/Reflection:Question 2

I have used Prezi to create a presentation to answer question 2. I have explained why i used the image and how it represents particular social groups.

Evaluation/Reflection: Question 1

Question 1 - In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

I have used Thinklink to create this i have annotated the key areas on my first draft School Magazine.

Evaluation/Reflection Question 3

Question 3 - Who would be the audience for your media product?

My audience for my School Magazine would be students at Plantsbrook School also the teaching staff it could attract parent/carers as from the front cover you can see that it has key information inside and that could help everyone keep up to date on what is happening at the school. The reason for why these could be my audience is because it is a school magazine and that is aimed at people associated with Plantsbrook School.
